If you look closely at this picture, you can see salt in the carpet surrounding my slush-stained boots. It’s winter and I hate it. At this dark time of year, I try very hard to fill my days with things I enjoy and can look forward to. I have friends over for dinner, I bake every weekend, and ideally I take a trip somewhere warm. This year since I can’t go away, I’m trying to make the most of being here. So I signed up for some classes this semester, including a writing class that I’m very excited about. I’m reading The Anatomy of Story by John Truby to get some inspiration for the writing projects I’d like to tackle over the next few months. How have I not read this before?
