When all my friends started having kids I decided that I would always get them books as gifts. Instead of toys or clothes, I will be that aunt that always gives them something to read, whether they like it or not!
With so many good books for children out there it can be hard to make a decision. Here’s a little book list to get you started:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr & Eric Carle
Guess How Much I Love You? by Sam McBratney
Olivia by Ian Falconer
Grumpy Bird by Jeremy Tankard
Hug by Jez Alborough
These books are all available (online and in actual bookstores!) as board books, which are great for young kids because they have those durable, chunky pages that are easy for kids to handle.
Buying a set of these inexpensive board books is a great way to get a child interested in reading. To me, there’s no better gift than that.
What baby books did I miss? Let me know because I’m always looking for more!
