date night in Dubai

My favourite places for a date night in Dubai….

Posted by

My husband and I like to schedule in a date night every Saturday evening if we can. So no matter where we are in the world, it is always time to book a babysitter and spend a few hours just chatting together, reminiscing, chatting about the future and strengthening our bond! When you have children, so much time can be spent attending to their needs, so making sure we have some time out together, just me, my husband and some delicious food is so important.

We have been holidaying in Dubai regularly over the last 10 years and have grown to love so many of the restaurants in this vibrant city. You can choose almost any cuisine you like and feel transported to that place immediately. Whether you fancy Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian or local cuisine, you know you’ll get the best of the best if you put some effort in beforehand to see what the restaurants are like. So with that in mind, I thoughts I would share some of our absolute favourite places to eat out in Dubai. I usually do my research for the different restaurants via SquareMeal which currently lists over 365 restaurant in Dubai. If you would like to have a look too, then click here.

Super Sushi

Tell me who doesn’t like to eat fresh fish by the sea? I think you would be hard pushed to find anyone who wouldn’t like Zengo. Located in Dubai Marina at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort  Zengo offers delicious  sushi and Asian inspired cuisine.

Overlooking the marina with views of both the city and the vast cityscape, spend the evening enjoying all the restaurant has to offer while taking in the stunning views. The views, service and quality of food could rival any restaurant in our beloved London. If the hot weather doesn’t quite do it for you however head inside to the sleek and modern neutral toned restaurant to enjoy your meal.

Make sure you try the wagyu beef maki rolls which are out of this works and consider trying the Zengo ‘fridaze’ brunch with unlimited servings of hot and cold starters mains and desserts as well as free flowing house drinks if you fancy going on a Friday. There are three bars in the restaurant too so enjoy a tipple or two beforehand!

Illustrious Italian

Oooh Splendido – how I miss you! Try the amazing alfresco dining area, complete with perfectly green grass and distant views of Dubai marina for your date night – you won’t regret it. The indoor restaurant  stunning too so it is an absolute treat to eat here whatever the weather.

Splendido serves up authentic Italian cuisine with favourites like lasagne, ravioli di vitello and of course the most perfect pizzas you can imagine. Make sure you have a look at the incredible wine and Champagne list filled with only the finest quality Champagnes and wines from Italy. Enjoy!

Awesome Arabian

Discover Caravan at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and you won’t forget it in a hurry. This waterside restaurant is out of this world with the opportunity to savour true flavours from the trade routes that were once traveled by the men of the desert.

Caravan offers a collage of flavours, colours and aromas where the exotic taste of India, Arabia and the Mediterranean are celebrated in a single setting. This is a truly glamorous choice and somewhere ideal for wearing your glitziest outfit to and really putting your best food forward! Mwah!

Brilliant British

I’m sure you’ll have already hear of Rhodes Twenty10? Established by the late Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes. This gorgeous restaurant is full of glamour and opulence, perfect for steak lovers who fancy sampling the best cuts and traditional British cuisine.

Of course there are lots of other traditional British dishes available too, including super scotch eggs, sumptuous salmon fish cakes and more! Remember to book in advance for this fabulous place.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post? I certainly liked reminiscing about some of our favourite places to eat out in Dubai. I think it might be time to book anything trip…
