While I’m definitely a big fan of autumn, from the falling leaves to the unavoidable pumpkin-spice everything, I can’t say that I’m overly thrilled about saying goodbye to summer. I’m looking forward to sweaters, blankets, and tea, but I’m really going to miss gelato, broken-in denim shorts, and the smell of my sunscreen. One thing I can count on when it comes to the colder seasons is that I seem to read more than I do in the spring and summer. I think it’s because I avoid going outside unless I absolutely have to, which leaves me with a lot more time to sit around with a good book. With that in mind, I always go into fall and winter with a stack of books to keep me busy when the cold and wind force me to stay inside. Here are a handful of books I’m looking forward to reading this fall. (If you have any recommendations, be sure to let me know!)
Hemingway in Love: His Own Story: A Memoir
by A.E. Hotchner
Circling the Sun
by Paula McLain
The Art of Stillness
by Pico Iyer
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up
by Marie Kondo
The Happiness Advantage
by Shawn Achor
