Fall to-read list

Posted by

It’s not as much fun to write a post about the books I’m looking forward to reading this fall while it still feels like the middle of summer outside. This second wave of crazy heat came on strong and is cramping my style a little bit. I was all excited for sweaters and socks, hot tea and crisp air. But instead, we’re still sweating it out in the humidity as the calendar gets closer and closer to October. Luckily, reading is just as fun in the summer as it is in the fall & winter. Get yourself a hobby that doesn’t rely on the weather, kids. That’s my advice to you. To celebrate the arrival of a new season, I thought I’d put together a list of some of the books I’m looking forward to reading in the months ahead. Before we know it, winter will arrive. Then instead of complaining about the heat, we can all complain about the cold. And all will feel right with the world again.

Fetch : how a bad dog brought me home : a graphic memoir

My absolute darling
by Gabriel Tallent

My lovely wife in the psych ward : a memoir

Off the cliff : how the making of Thelma & Louise drove Hollywood to the edge
by Becky Aikman

Personalities on the plate : the lives and minds of animals we eat
by Barbara J. King

Alone

Legendary authors and the clothes they wore
by Terry Newman

Have you read something amazing recently? Let me know and I’ll add it to my list!
