I’m getting a little tired of books being described as “the next Gone Girl” and “this year’s The Girl on the Train“. I liked both of those books but it seems a little unfair to set up every psychological thriller written by a woman as “the next” anything. But even though I’ve heard plenty of those statements made about Megan Miranda’s All the Missing Girls, I decided to read it anyway. I’m barely 20 pages in and I already exactly what’s at stake for Nic, the main character. I’ve been told that once you start this book you can’t put it down, and I’m very much in the mood for that kind of book right now so I can’t wait to spend some quality time with it this weekend.
