There are a few books that always make the list when doing a search for the best food writing, and Tamar Adler’s An Everlasting Meal is one of them. I’m really enjoying her writing style. It’s approachable and somewhat nostalgic (in a good way). Her descriptions of even basic foods make me hungry. And I’m definitely going to make a batch of parsley oil, per her suggestion. It’s safe to say that I’ll reach for this book time and time again when thinking about what to eat, until eventually Tamar’s words of wisdom become my own and I won’t need to consult its pages anymore.
