While I recognize that pretty much everyone likes cake, I’m not sure how many of those people would read an entire book about the history and cultural significance of cake. I am definitely one of the crazy cake people who would, so I was really excited to come across the book Cake: A Global History by Nicola Humble. It’s actually part of the Edible series of books, which explores food history and culture. Other books in that series that I’d like to read include Pie, Chocolate, and Pancake. Anyone else hungry?
