Friday Reads: The Agony and the Ecstasy

I wish I could say that I am loving this book, because I really thought I would. But I’m basically crawling my way through it and I’m still only halfway through. The Agony and the Ecstasy is a biographical novel about Michelangelo, which sounded incredibly promising to me when I picked it up at the store. But I’m finding it to be overly descriptive, and that is a style of writing that I just don’t respond well to. I’ve devoted far too much time to this book to abandon it now, so I’ll keep at it. Although at this rate I have no idea how long it will take me to finish.
