The Two-Family House by Lynda Cohen Loigman has been described as a “moving family saga”. What is a family saga, you ask? Well, there is a handy list on Goodreads to guide you through that particular genre, and as it turns out some of my favourite books can be classified as a family saga: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Middlesex, Little Women. Not to mention a bunch of books that I really want to read, like Gone with the Wind, The Godfather, and I Know This Much Is True. So I guess I chose correctly when I decided to ready Loigman’s novel, because apparently I’m a big fan of the saga. Who knew?
