While I was reading Pain, Parties, Work by Elizabeth Winder, many people told me that if I was really interested in learning more about Sylvia Plath I should pick up a copy of her journals. So that’s exactly what I did and I started reading it this week. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but so far I’m completely taken with Plath’s journal entries and mesmerized by her writing. At around 600 pages, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath isn’t for everyone. But if you want to get a clear idea of who she really was, this is a great way to do it.
