I probably came into this book with unrealistic expectations. The Yoga of Max’s Discontent by Karan Bajaj has been getting some pretty incredible reviews, after all. “This book will change your life,” is a comment I read more than once. But while I really like the novel, about a banker who becomes a yogi in the Himalayas, I don’t think it’s life changing. I practice yoga every morning and I can honestly say that incorporating it into my daily schedule has definitely improved my life. If reading about doing yoga makes you curious, I highly suggest going to a beginner’s yoga class to check it out for yourself.
