Four restaurants you need to visit on a girly night out in Dublin

Posted by

Dining out in the Dublin can be so much fun! I grew up close to the city centre and have enjoyed many’s a night out there with friends, boyfriends, family and colleagues. The restaurants and bars have improved hugely over the years and there is now a super selection of options to choose from. Whether you are looking for something glamorous and smart or somewhere a bit more casual and cool, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Whenever I return to Dublin, a girl’s night out is always on the cards. Depending on the kind of mood we are in, we usually go for one of these…

Flanagan’s Restaurant

For a tantalising taste of Irish food, Flanagan’s on O’Connell Street in Dublin is the place to be! There’s a gorgeous A La Carte menu in the large restaurant as well as ‘The Speakeasy Bar’ in the basement, an ode to the speakeasies of the Art Deco era. Check out the private bar, jazz piano, intimate tables and lighting while you are there and let us know what you think?

Captain Americas

Ah the memories of visiting here! Captain Americas on Grafton Street is so much fun. If you are looking for somewhere quiet but classy then this probably isn’t your place but if you are looking for something fun and vibrant in a nice part of town with fabulous cocktails and good old American food then this is it! Why not continue your celebration to one of the local nightclubs? Now which one to choose?

The Garden Room at The Merrion Hotel

Awww The Merrion Hotel! I have such great memories of visiting this stunning Dublin hotel in my early twenties – the perfect pitstop after shopping all day in Dublin’s city centre or meeting with friends for drinks before hitting the town. More recently, The Garden Room at The Merrion Hotel has become a favourite and is great for group dining – full of character, comfort and with a delectable menu created by executive chef, Ed Cooney and his terrific team. If you are just visiting Dublin for a short trip then make sure you visit!

Cleaver East

Located in the hear of Dublin’s Temple Bar, Cleaver East is known for its playful menu featuring plenty of locally sourced ingredients along with East Asian infusions. The flavours are immense and the wine list is wonderful. Perfect for a girly evening, catching up with friends! There are some fab vegan options too.

Busker’s Bar

If you are looking for live music and a brilliant buzz then Busker’s Bar in the heart of Dublin City  is the place for you. This vibrant and popular pub will not disappoint. It’s located in the middle of Temple Bar, just a short walk from both O’Connell Bridge and Grafton Street. This place is fairly casual and not as fancy as some of the other places on here but definitely worth a visit if you are in Dublin and even more fun if you are with your girl gang! Ask about their cocktail making masterclasses too…
